We are making improvements to the streets and infrastructure in the McLeod Drive area (McLeod Drive, Gilibank Drive, Lacey Court and Marksbury Court).

The proposed work will include:

  • Full depth road reconstruction on McLeod Drive and portion of Lacey Court;
  • Full asphalt and curb replacement on Gilbank Drive and portion of Lacey Court;
  • Asphalt mill and overlay on Marksbury Court, with concrete curb spot repairs
  • Watermain lining on McLeod Drive and Lacey Court
  • Storm sewer lining and new guiderail on Marksbury Court
  • Sewer and sidewalk spot repairs and minor road drainage improvements
  • Brightening of existing streetlights with potential addition of

  • Sewer and sidewalk spot repairs and minor road drainage improvements
  • Brightening of existing streetlights with potential addition of a streetlight pole on Marksbury Court

What to expect during construction:

  • Signage will be posted in the area and construction notices will be distributed.
  • Regular construction hours from 7am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday. Contractor may work Saturday as needed.
  • Sidewalks will be closed where needed for repairs.
  • Access to McLeod Dr, Gilbank Dr, Marksbury Ct and Lacey Ct will be for local traffic only during construction. Please be aware of construction activity and personnel.

    Gilbank Drive: All restoration works are complete including sod. Please contact Jeremy if there are any concerns or missed items. Final asphalt will be placed in the next 2 weeks.

    McLeod Drive: Sidewalk removal and replacement are underway. Boulevard and driveway restorations are ongoing.

    *PLEASE NOTE: VEHICLE ACCESS TO HOMES WILL BE IMPACTED DURING SIDEWALK REMOVAL AND REPLACMENT. THERE WILL BE A MINIMUM 24-HOUR PERIOD WITH NO VEHICLE ACCESS*

    Lacey Court: Sidewalk removal and replacement are underway. Boulevard and driveway restorations are ongoing.

    Marksbury Court: All restoration works are complete including sod. Please contact Jeremy if there are any concerns or missed items.

    *PLEASE NOTE: Interlock/edger restorations are ongoing. Any missing sections will needed to be sourced and completed. Upon completion, it will be noted here and complaints should made at that time. Sprinkler repairs are being scheduled and will work with home owners directly when on site*

    Good morning,

    Residents are reminded to not discharge pool water directly onto the road. This practice is prohibited under the Town's bylaws and can negatively impact ongoing construction work on McLeod Drive.

    Improper discharge may cause flooding, erosion, or damage to newly constructed infrastructure. Residents are asked to follow proper pool drainage procedures in accordance with Town regulations.

    McLeod Drive: Curb has been poured and driveway access restored. Sidewalk removal and replacement to begin this week. Placing of additional stone on road will also be occurring this week.

    Marksbury Court: Guard rail installation is complete, with clean-up to follow. Driveway restorations are ongoing. Street light has been installed.
