Yonge Street Multi-Use Path

Grading for the multi-use path, storm sewer work, and retaining wall construction will continue throughout the week.

Ridge Road remains closed at Yonge Street and is expected to remain closed throughout October. Please use Glensteeple Trail to access Yonge Street.

The temporary bus stop at Glensteeple Trail is now operational for riders to use.

Daily lane closures are expected on Yonge Street between Bloomington Road and Industrial Parkway. Please allow extra travel time and use caution when passing through the work area.

Residents are reminded that Ridge Rad will be closed at Yonge Street starting Monday, October 5. Please use Glensteeple trail for access to and from Yonge Street during the closure.

The existing bus stop near ridge road will remain open. An additional temporary bus stop will be installed at the corner of Yonge Street and Glensteeple Trail on Tuesday, October 6 as well during this closure.

Garbage collection will continue for properties affected by the closure. Staff will work with the contractor on site to ensure garbage is picked up.

Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, Ridge Road will be temporarily closed at Yonge Street for approximately one month while construction work takes places. During the closure, drivers will be unable to enter or exit Ridge Road at Yonge Street. Please use Glensteeple Trail to travel between Ridge Road and Yonge Street, as shown in the attached photo.

A temporary bus stop will be available at the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Glensteeple Trail. The bus stop near Ridge Road will also remain available when construction activities permit, but may be temporarily unavailable at times depending on work. Transit riders can use the temporary stop at Glensteeple Trail during those periods.

Good morning all,

The Canada Post community mailboxes formerly located at Yonge Street and Ridge Road have been relocated to Glensteeple Trail and Ridge Road. See attached photo of the new location.

Notices were sent by Canada Post to those affected of the relocation on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Storm sewer work will begin on Ridge Road to Elderberry starting Monday (September 21st), grading and earthworks will continue for the multi-use path.
