Aurora Town Hall/Seniors’ Centre Parking Lot Rehabilitation and Reflection Space Construction

Line painting in the north parking lot is now complete. A crew is on site today completing final cleanup and installing the remaining speed pump.

The north parking lot is scheduled to reopen tomorrow September 30th, as of 8:00 AM.

Asphalt paving in the north parking lot was completed last Friday. Crews are on site today completing line painting.

A few minor items remain outstanding before the parking lot can safely reopen to the public. Reopening is expected later this week.

Crews are currently removing existing asphalt with the new asphalt paving expected later this week.

The concrete crew continues to make good progress with the concrete steps expected to be completed by end of the day today.

Work remains on schedule, with the contractor expected to begin asphalt removals later this week.

The concrete crew made good progress over the weekend in the north parking lot. They will pour additional concrete sidewalk today.

Removals have now begun in the north parking lot as the project moves into phase two of construction. Crews are currently removing the existing steps and interlock areas in preparation for new concrete.

All staff and visitors are reminded to only use the main south entrance doors on the first floor of Town Hall. There is no entry or exit through the north parking lot doors while construction is underway.

Work is progressing well as crews also formed import a large section of new concrete near the Building Department entranceway.

The south Town Hall parking lot is now open and available for public access, while the north parking lot is closed for construction. The 3rd floor entrance is unavailable during this time. Please access Town Hall through the 1st floor entrance.

Due to limited on-site parking, staff and visitors are encouraged to use available side-street parking, where permitted. This will help keep spaces available for Seniors Centre patrons who may require closer access.
