Engage Aurora is the Town of Aurora's online, 24/7 digital engagement platform, where you can share your feedback on a variety of Town projects when you want; where you want.
We know that in-person engagement isn't always possible- especially in this current climate. This site will make it easier for you to learn about Town projects, share your thoughts and connect with other residents.
Follow and participate in engagement opportunities to help shape our community. Feedback collected on this site will complement the Town’s in-person engagement – open houses, pop-ups, focus groups, workshops, etc.
When registering, you can also create a 'screen name', so that you have some anonymity when participating and commenting on various projects.

Any plans for an outdoor, public, summer pool. For those who stay close to home for the summer, there is no option to cool down with the family. Of course, the splash pads serve the younger children, but nothing for teens and adults.

I would like to have a way to be notified when a new survey is out. I don’t check the site that frequently and I missed the town park feedback window.

So happy to hear about the new town park!
There was a news article in the Vancouver Sun that highlights the benefits of risky play. I think this is something to consider. https://apple.news/ArU_DEdpHTfOOnVewsouPOg
I think we should move away from super safe playgrounds to playgrounds that offer more challenges and connected pathways that offer more than one way to get to different parts of the of the playground (similar to Copland Park).
Watching children play at Copland park vs the new Taylor Park, you can see the difference in engagement. The thinking that goes into choosing routes and getting to different destinations adds so much more play and engagement.
This is a park in the heart of downtown. It needs to be special and not just another basic playground. This one should be a big investment. Improving the splash pad would also be great.

My wife and I would like to thank the Parks and Recreation Department for the excellent job they have done in Sheppard’s Bush since taking over from the South Lake Simcoe Conservation Authority. The parking lot has been paved and brush cleared from the edges of the trails and some of the hazards left from a wind storm last year have been eliminated. Great job!

I strongly disagree to build the dog park in this new building park. You can do it , but had better stay away from the residential area.

I think this platform is fantastic and I applaud Aurora for building this. I want to be engaged as much as possible. Active transportation systems / infrastructure is my priority. The benefits are numerous and untapped.
