Aurora Stormwater Management Master Plan Update
We are taking an important step toward protecting our community and natural environment for the future.
We’re updating our Comprehensive Stormwater Management Master Plan and Stream Management Master Plan, and combining them into one unified plan that will guide how we manage stormwater, reduce flooding, protect streams, and address erosion across town.
This work will help us to:
- better understand current conditions
- prepare for the impacts of climate change and future growth
- make informed, cost‑effective decisions that keep Aurora safe, sustainable, and resilient
As we move through this process, we look forward to working closely with residents and stakeholders to shape solutions that reflect our community’s needs and values.
Thank you for your interest and support in helping us build a resilient future for Aurora!

Take Survey
We are updating our Comprehensive Stormwater Management and Stream Management Master Plan and want your input.
Stormwater is rain and melted snow that flows over roads, parking lots, and properties into creeks, streams, rivers, and eventually the Great Lakes. Aurora’s stormwater infrastructure helps reduce flooding and erosion, improve water quality, and protect the environment.
When complete, the Plan will support growth, comply with regulations, increase climate change resilience, and reduce risks to people, property, and the environment.
This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help guide future stormwater and stream management priorities in Aurora. The information boards from the Public Open House held May 27, 2026, are available here: engageaurora.ca/51664/widgets/218402/documents/169569.
