What are we doing?
The Town of Aurora is undertaking infrastructure improvements on George Street. • Installing new water and sanitary service connections. • Improving stormwater drainage. • Replacing and realigning the sidewalk and curb on the east side of George Street. • The road will be rehabilitated during the final stage of construction.
Construction is expected to take place from September to December 2026.
What to expect during construction:
Increased construction traffic
Lane reduction during working hours
Increased noise during working hours
Increased dust generation (dust control measures are enforced)
Construction fencing to protect the public from open excavations
