The contractor will install the watermain on Monday and begin the watermain testing procedure on Tuesday. They will also begin installing the sanitary main on George Street on Tuesday and continue the work until Friday.

The contractor’s surveyor will be onsite Wednesday for the layout. Asphalt saw cutting is scheduled for Thursday, and road excavation for the watermain installation will begin on Friday.

Select trees were removed this morning. All six (6) of the trees were chipped and removed from the site.

Additional materials are scheduled to be delivered within the next two days. Road saw cuts are to begin on Wednesday to aid in the removal of asphalt coming next week.

The contractor is scheduled to commence work during the week of September 28, including mobilization, tree removals, and material deliveries. The surveyor will be onsite on September 24 for the layout work.

Contractors will be commencing mobilization activities in preparation for the upcoming servicing works.

Starting Monday September 21, traffic control devices, including pylons, delineators, and signage, will be delivered and installed on site ahead of upcoming traffic disruptions. As a result, George Street and Hawthorne Lane may experience increased congestion during working hours.

We ask for your patience and understanding while the contractor sets up and relocates equipment throughout the work area.

As construction activities increase, more regular project updates will be provided in the coming weeks as road construction gets underway.

We are excited to welcome Rabcon Contractors Ltd. as our project partner and the successful contractor responsible for carrying out the construction works. A pre-construction meeting was held earlier this week to discuss project timelines. The expected construction start date is September 24, 2026.

Coordination with the various utility companies to decommission the utility poles on the property is underway. Underground infrastructure locates have also been completed to ensure safe and efficient trenching activities.

Tree protection measures and the removal of select trees are expected to begin within the next two weeks.
