Aurora Town Hall/Seniors’ Centre Parking Lot Rehabilitation and Reflection Space Construction

Seniors Centre Walkway:

Crews are placing concrete formwork. Our concrete pour will be delayed until tomorrow due to today’s threat of thunder showers.

Reflection Space:

Work continues on rebuilding the retaining wall.

Seniors Centre Walkway:

Crews are on site fine grading the area before concrete is placed to ensure proper drainage.

Reflection Space:

Crews have salvaged an old retaining wall and are now rebuilding it to a higher standard.

Work is underway!

Crews have begun removals on the Seniors Centre walkway.

Additionally, the landscaper will begin work on the community reflection space beginning with the required tree removals.

Expect equipment and materials to arrive in the south parking lot this afternoon.
The contractor will barrel off additional parking spaces tonight for additional storage room.
Work will begin on the Senior's Centre walkway as of tomorrow.

Starting July 6th, 2026, Melrose Paving Co will begin their construction mobilization by bringing in materials and equipment into the south parking lot. This will include the removal and replacement of the Senior Center's walkway. The parking lot will remain open until this walkway is completed. The full parking lot closure is expected starting in the week of July 13th, 2026.

Beginning the week of July 6th, 2026, Melrose Paving Co. Ltd., will mobilize to Town Hall and begin work on the Senior Centre walkway. This work is being completed in preparation of the full parking lot closure.

The parking lot will remain open for use until this work is completed. Further updates to follow soon.
