McLeod Area Roads Project

Hello everyone,

Work is progressing across multiple areas of the McLeod project area:

Gilbank Drive: Sidewalk removals and replacements will begin this week, along with asphalt removal and road grading.

McLeod Drive & Lacey Court: Final watermain connections are scheduled to begin this week, with affected homes being transitioned back to the permanent watermain. Crews will also be completing various underground repairs on McLeod.

Marksbury Court: Sidewalk and guard rail removals and replacements are set to begin this week.

Further updates will be provided as the project continues to advance.

Watermain lining will continue throughout this week. Starting on the week of August 4th, crews will begin replacing watermain valves and hydrants.

On Gilbank Drive, curb removal is scheduled to begin on July 31st. Driveway access will remain available throughout the long weekend, however, during the week of August 4th, some driveways may be temporarily inaccessible for approximately 2-3 days while concrete preparation and pouring take place.

The temporary watermain is now active and servicing all affected homes. Work is currently underway to line the underground watermain, in addition to the removal and replacement works of various catch basins.

Tree removals have now been completed. Temporary watermain installation is ongoing this week and will continue in the coming days.

Crews have started installing a temporary watermain on Lacy Court and McLeod Drive. Tree removals have are also underway throughout the project area.

These early works are expected to continue over the next week or two. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as construction progresses.

The Contractor Trisan Construction has notified that they will begin mobilizing to the site this week. Residents may notice the delivery of construction materials and equipment as preparations for the upcoming work get underway.

Trisan Construction has been contracted by the Town to undertake the rehabilitation of various watermain and road assets on McLeod Drive, Marksbury Court, Gilbank Drive and Lacey Court. It is anticipated the work will commence the week of May 26/June 2 and is expected to be completed by late October.
