Library Square
Welcome! Engage Aurora is an interactive, digital space for you to learn about and provide valuable input into Town projects.
This webpage will serve as a central hub for you to visit and receive ongoing project updates. It will also be a great place to interact with other members of the community and share your ideas for how the different spaces can be used, as construction of the square gets underway and the area is transformed into a vibrant destination for our community to enjoy.
ABOUT THE LIBRARY SQUARE PROJECT
With two community spaces and unlimited possibilities, Library Square* is a place where young and old can come together in all seasons to enjoy art, theatre, music, shopping, community events and activities.
Library Square includes two key spaces – a vibrant outdoor square and a new community facility that will feature a flexible performance hall with seating for up to 250 people and a variety of multi-purpose programming spaces that will bring life and energy to our downtown core.
Library Square is a key part of Aurora's exciting downtown revitalization plan.
*The working name for the Town Square is "Library Square". The naming committee has placed name considerations on hold until final plans for the square and addition to 22 Church Street are finalized.

What you need to know:
- Northbound Yonge St. will be reduced to one lane between Church St. and Mosley St.
- Concrete barriers and fencing will be in place on Yonge St. and signage will guide pedestrians around the work area. Hoarding will also be erected at the Library's main entrance to protect patrons from construction.
