A mix of user fees and property taxes help to keep community services affordable for our residents, such as swimming lessons, camps, fitness memberships, ice and sports field rentals. To ensure that these funding sources are properly balanced, the Town is undertaking a review of how its sets rates and fees for community services including facility rentals and programs. Part of the Study includes a fee assistance program for Aurora residents who may not be able to afford to participate in recreation.
In order to establish a pricing structure that is meaningful and reflects Aurora’s unique demographic and socio-economic characteristics, we need your feedback!
Have your say online regarding the current fee structures, ability to pay program and share what is most important to you by taking the below online survey, leaving a comment or utilizing the question and answer tool for more information.
This survey should take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and has generally been designed for Aurora residents age 16+. We ask that you answer questions honestly and that you do not submit more than one response. Survey responses will be kept confidential and will not be attributed to you as an individual. The survey will be available to complete until November 13, 2020.
If you have any questions about the survey or this project, please contact Lisa Warth, Manager of Recreation Services, at lwarth@aurora.ca or 905-727-3123 ext. 4765.
