Welcome! Engage Aurora is an interactive, digital space for you to learn about and provide valuable input into Town projects.

This webpage will serve as a central hub for the Aurora Town Square project, where you can visit to learn more about the planned space and receive ongoing project updates. This is also a great place to interact with other members of the community and share your ideas for how the different spaces can be used, as construction of the square gets underway and the area is transformed into a vibrant destination for our community to enjoy.

ABOUT THE AURORA TOWN SQUARE PROJECT

With two community spaces and unlimited possibilities, Aurora Town Square is a place where young and old can come together in all seasons to enjoy art, theatre, music, shopping, community events and activities.

Aurora Town Square includes two key spaces – a vibrant outdoor square and a new community facility that will feature a flexible performance hall with seating for up to 250 people and a variety of multi-purpose programming spaces that will bring life and energy to our downtown core.

Aurora Town Square is a key part of Aurora's exciting downtown revitalization plan.

  • Construction Update - Treasure Hill Bridge

    Construction on the Treasure Hill Bridge started earlier this morning! The Bridge will provide visitors with year-round access to Aurora Public Library and the Museum and Cultural Centre, in addition to providing guests with cozy seating that looks out onto to the vibrant Square.     As we transition to the winter season, take a look at progress made over the summer and fall months at Aurora Town Square. Some exciting updates include: the placement of wire mesh and rebar, concrete pouring on the skating loop, the installation of the water feature wall, Amphitheatre seating and stairs, structural steel and glazing installation on the new Museum and Cultural Centre addition, and so much more! We can’t wait for you to experience Aurora Town Square.


  • Construction Notice - Church Street Sidewalk/Curb Works

    Please be advised that Church Street will be one-way for local traffic and buses from Victoria Street to Yonge Street starting October 17 to November 4. Traffic cones and signage are installed to direct pedestrians around the area. Please cross at designated crosswalks, use caution, and stay alert walking near the construction zone.

    Please note that access to the Aurora Public Library Church Street entrance, including the return drop off and pick up window, may be restricted during construction. The Library will extend loan periods during the Church Street work to ensure customers are not inconvenienced.
