Library Square Tree Removals

Crews are on the Library Square site this week performing tree removals across the property. Trees are being removed to accommodate the new facility, including parking improvements on Victoria St. and Church St. Other trees are being removed as they are non-native invasive species.

Trees of heritage value will remain and a total of 56 new canopy trees will be planted to replace those being removed. In addition to the new canopy trees, a rich palette of smaller ornamental/flowering trees and shrubs will be planted, including Dogwood, Witch Hazel, Sumac, Nannyberry and Cranberry.
