The Allaura Stormwater Management (SWM) Pond, also referred to as SWM Pond C6, is located to the east of #27 Allaura Boulevard, to the south of Vata Court, and adjacent to the Metrolinx railway. The SWM pond has been identified as requiring rehabilitation through condition assessments undertaken by the Town and the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA).

The proposed rehabilitation works include:

  • Removal of sediment and debris to reestablish the pond’s capacity;
  • Regrading of side slope areas and reestablishment of the by-pass channel and other pond features;
  • Erosion repairs;
  • Vegetation management including removal of invasive species; and
  • Repairs to inlet and outlet, as required.

The Town has retained Aquafor Beech Limited to carry out the Allaura SWM Pond rehabilitation design. Construction is anticipated to commence in late Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
